Spring Break in 2021 may look a little different than other years. Can't travel far this year? No problem - here are fun ideas to do near or at home this Spring Break!
Take a stay-cation
Stay-cations can be just as fun as vacations! Play tourist where you live by taking advantage of what your city or town has to offer. Visit some attractions you’ve been wanting to see, check out a new restaurant or enjoy an old favorite spot, and visit the local shops. You can even rent a hotel right in the center of the city for a couple of nights.
Take a mini weekend trip or day trip to somewhere nearby
Are there any small towns nearby that you’ve been wanting to check out or visit again? Take a little road trip to somewhere close by with friends or family and perhaps rent a fun Airbnb or treat yourself to a hotel and spa day. It’ll get you out of your regular routine and give you a chance to explore without the hassle of traveling far.
Enjoy time outside
It can be easy to get caught up in the motions of the day and forget to spend some quality time outside. Take time to enjoy the weather as it gets warmer this year. You can take a walk with friends, spend time outside reading, or meditate or journal on your deck.
Plant a garden
Gardening is a great way to connect with nature, clear your mind, and get some fresh air. Think about how you can add some color to your landscaping with spring flowers or plant some herbs, fruits, or veggies to harvest in the next few months. If you don’t have a yard or space for an outdoor garden, consider creating a windowsill herb garden or getting nice plants or flowers to add some color to your environment.
Get organized
It’s time for a nice spring decluttering. This may not exactly sound like a “fun” idea, however, it’ll leave you feeling cleansed and joyful when your house and closet look like new! Get rid of what doesn’t fit your vibe anymore, then maybe reward yourself with a little shopping trip to spice up your closet and home.
Just because you may not be able to travel far this year doesn’t mean you won’t have a fun and relaxing Spring Break. If you don’t get a Spring Break this year, consider taking a few vacation days or at least a weekend to create your own break. We all need rest sometimes!
