DIY Sugar Scrubs
Not only are sugar scrubs a cinch to make, they’re also kid-safe, effective, and make great “just because” gifts! A good sugar scrub will exfoliate and moisturize, leaving you silky and aglow.
The key is to use the appropriate sugar coarseness for the job. I opt for a finer white sugar for facial scrubs, a coarser raw sugar for hands and feet, and brown sugar for my body scrubs. Olive, coconut, jojoba, and almond oils, are all lovely choices for your scrubs.
You simply combine your ingredients in a bowl, and stir until your mixture has an even consistency and is no longer soupy. Add more sugar if necessary. Your scrub should keep in a sealed container for up to 3 months.
To use: scoop desired amount into hands and massage into moist skin. Voila!
